You can't? Sure you can. You underestimate yourself.

And you avoided the question: If you are such a hot rally-racer-promo dude, what haven't you moved where there competition?

why haven't I left everything I love to go racing when I can stay by my house and my girls (gf and corgis) and race a bunch of cars we built that I love and have an amazing time doing it for less money than flying across the world? well I don't know, probably because I suck.

well there is that one company that asked me to go drive for them for free in their M3 rally car reprep to my spec in the biggest RWD rally in the world that we should be driving for in October in Estonia smiling smiley

look man I don't think I'm a WRC level driver are you kidding me, I just started keeping the car on the road in control and quick recently and I learn something new every time I touch the car.

ps: I never self-proclaimed to be a genius marketing rally racer promo dude, you did. but I wouldn't call myself that, I love rally so I promote what I love, I'm not doing it to push a product, we haven't even sold anything until recently due to demand on www.brakim.com winking smiley see what I did there.

edit: to be honest I have been interviewed and/or featured in advertising magazines and tv shows etc more than once about my marketing techniques, my first job that pays for this rally stuff is actually programming and marketing, I'd consider myself very good. but rally isn't a job, its a passion I love it. period. any success we have is from the entire team though, I just drive and do some of the promotion, the team does it all. this isn't some PC edit you had me thinking with your question, thats part of the answer.

I'd say this is entertaining me but I'd be lying lol, are we done for now?

In case you're a fan now we have a special charity T-Shirt on sale on www.BRAKIM.com for Paul Walkers birthday while we try to set a 2WD all time hill climb record in Paul Walkers memory for his birthday this weekend. All proceeds, and more, go to his charity Reach Out Worldwide

Also we had a more detailed question about our marketing on Facebook that came from this post, the $8,000 or so was spent on main fan page promotions as well as individual post promotions in specific languages / countries / etc I can help you tune your Facebook etc marketing for any team owners just email me brakimracing@gmail.com and I'll send you the general settings so you're NOT paying that standard horrible conversion fee, someone estimated I spent as much as 30k, no.

also keep in mind we only "paid" for half of our followers, but the paid ones are real people who love racing and that money isn't out of our pockets anyway, sponsors.

We also have millions of video views, 3 > 5 front page Jalopnik articles a year, a very busy YouTube channel 300 + videos, Instagram, Twitter, over 100,000 followers in all and millions of hits annually. We can't keep merchandise in stock, we're always sold out. started our T-Shirt printing "company" due to sales volume etc.

We're happy to make shirts for your teams too guys, we also offer decals for free (you pay materials and shipping) if you weed them out yourselves, we'll digitize and cut for free for any rally team as long as time permits.

Matt, carry on as you're doing...which is quite well. You handled yourself in a nice fashion over the protest thing and you're way above expected with John. Someone raised a pretty good kid I'd say.

I wanted to be a real asshole but whats the point, also truth be told I respect rally too much to be like that even if it were in my nature or whatever. everyone I run into in stage rally, well almost everyone, is like an instant best friend all they want to do is help you and get faster with you no bs its just a great sport.

I have too much respect for the sport and my rally family to stoop to his level, and the IF IT AINT WRC IT AINT SHIT attitude makes me realize he's certainly not worth my time anyway, I spent too much time appeasing him already.

My momma would love to hear you say that lol, I'm lucky I had parents who always told me I could do anything and be anything I wanted to no bs they told me how it was, work hard play hard. just as they did and still do.

put really simple though I JUST WANT TO RACE, and really can't wait to start getting the car more sorted and take more wins! the team deserves it the guys work too hard, I want to get them some hardware!! smiling smiley

Thanks for the kind words, you guys kick ass!

My gawd how delusional are you? I wasn't suggesting you go with your clown antic and hype and do WRC--what a insane idea...

maybe should have finished highschool and learned to read..

I was suggesting same thing last time we had a guy whose is PRIMARILY a self hypped promo guy:
Just go do some local events...
You just want to race, but you waste time and money---doesn't matter whose, its fucking wasting it this Lambo jump hype BS--just take some of all the money you have and go to Sweden of Finland and just race...
4-8 rallies in BOTH countries on any typical weekend..Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays...

You wanna just race, then just go race...

Plenty of rallies. Take your girlfriend...

Good god how could you possibly imagine I would suggest you, just a local guy with a big mouth , and big self-hype---should go overseas and do WRC.. Block was a poor joke doing WRC and he is a bit quicker than you.----but slower than some of the clubbies I'm suggesting you go "just race' against...

the fact that you somehow thought i was suggesting YOU go do WRC just shows how self-aborbed and flat out of touch with reality you are..

Go hype yourself somewhere where its wanted--or you get you spam kick back..

we'ze just lowly schmucks around here...and most of us--who are honest--think SPAM sucks, SPAMMERS SUCK, and HYPE sucks..

LOL bro I actually got a full ride in Estonia driving a custom to my spec car for Samsonas Motorsports Transmissions, a very serious race engineering company, as one of the first american RWD rally drivers even invited, much less sponsored, to the largest showing of the best RWD WRC drivers in the WORLD http://saaremaarally.eu so you can take that attitude and enjoy looking down on yourself like that, I compete on any level I care to, I can do anything I want to at any time I wish to do it winking smiley

Will I win? LOL noooo will I have fun? yes will I be the only american RWD driver invited to this? yes, will I be thankful, yes. do I think I can put on a show and get european fans, Absolutely. I can do show. I can do fast. can I do WRC fast, no. NOT YET. if I fight at this for another 5 years you can call me a stupid shit block copy cat when I get top stage times or I'll go broke before then.

Go on living your normal boring life, I'll go broke making mine anything I want it to be.

Best of luck to you, friend.

BY THE WAY THE REST OF THESE LOWLY NOBODY SCHMUCKS AS YOU CALL THEM are my people, If you haven't noticed I call them family, bet your ass they call me the same. This isn't a big joke to us like you are, I mean like it is to you, What do you think your nickname is in the REAL rally community? The one that matters? The relevant opinions? I know what it is, anyone who matters has been talking with me tonight laughing at you behind your back, I explain to them you don't know better.

You probably think I just made that up, wish I had, I don't like to hear negative shit about me or someone who talks shit about me.

This is all beneath me man, I'd like to say you too but I think instead of rallying or doing anything worthwhile with your time you're sadly just a pretender, sitting around posting 12,000 posts on a forum about rallying instead of doing it. sad.

Honestly bro I just feel sorry for you, Rally is such an amazing happy thing and you just shit on it. It doesn't bother me how bad you make your own life but you may push some rally fans away from rally, I think we'd all prefer if maybe you posted less about rally in general, maybe join some forum where hate and negativity is looked upon or something.

Rally isn't for you my friend, I can tell you don't have it in you from the words you type and thats no bullshit. I live rally, you're the farthest thing from it. your attitude is anti-rally ask anyone, ask your best rally mate, he'll either lie to you or tell you "man you're my best friend but you're a rude asshole and the negative stuff isn't helping the rally community or you"

Forget me, I'm a nobody, think about the community. Seriously man...

PS: I hope to be as big of a piece of shit as you say Block is, I dream to be that slow and useless, I love that little asshole who, clearly just can't drive at all, what a loser he is...? that dream achieving dickhead nobody piece of shit... see how awesome this is for a rally fan to see?

Matt,

I don't know you from anything but Elliott codrove and came with me on a little adventure down in Mexico last year and he says your good people and that's good enough for me. Keep doing what you're doing. Hell, given you're running RWD you'd think you'd get more support "here"...oh, well...stick in in their ear and carry on...

Guys thats enough, stop entertaining this guy, he's not rally anything, he doesn't even belong on this forum as far as I'm concerned I appreciate you all having my back, just stop responding its clear he has nothing to live for other than complete and utter bullshittery, best of luck to you. I'll continue living my fake life that you desire so badly and clearly refuse to work for yourself or you'd be here instead of sitting around wishing for it. I haven't researched you at all and I could be wrong, but I'm a pretty intelligent guy and I have a feeling I know exactly who you are, John.

Stop hating on others and go live your own dream so you don't waste your time trying to shoot down others dreams, which won't work anyway, I step on assholes like you for fun in business, in rally I disregard you as not worth my time and move along beyond these explanations so that people can rear these posts later and try to understand what rally is really about. something good can still come from your negativity.

FORGET THIS NOBODY - THERES NOTHING TO SEE HERE, I'M OUT

LIVE LIFE FLAT OUT #LLFO

See what happens when you drop out of high school?
You never become in any ways socialised and continue to think that you are the center of everything..

I have not shat on rally.

I expressed contempt and disgust for the model which you seem to have adopted: hype and promo as a lifestyle..

Contempt for that hype shit is not shitting on rally, and if you had any ability to REASON you could see the difference.
YOU are not rally, and YOUR HYPE of just cliched antics is not rally...

And clearly you, being a total noob at this little sport are clearly shall we say "un-self-aware" and consider the damage the idiot hype shit you in your copying Bl;ock may have done by warping peoples sense of what rally--in our little fish pond--or our little nmud puddle IS---and thereby driviong them away.

You and the Bllock "style" you push is repellant to me and I've been in or around this sport for just a tad longer than you.

Why don't you go tend to all your businesses--which I have been reading about...hilarious reading if its even half true--and very much in character.
