Yeah. There were some serious rolls, a few cars off the road with serious damage, driver mistakes, and a ton of mechanicals.

The attrition rate seemed typical for PFR.

Three cars had offs that resulted in DNFs on the new (24km long) stage, two in the same corner.

The other three offs (that I know of) were on the Helmer road (the two Friday stages were effectively Helmer North).

The roads aren't particularly brutal... just lots of opportunities for mistakes. Mistakes with big consequences.

Off the top of my head - which was the bottom of my head for over a minute at the event - I'd think the DNF rate was close to double what* somewhat higher than it normally is, but am happy to be corrected on that. The big difference is the 2 cars that we won't likely ever see again and at least two other rollovers that are repairable. (I haven't see the FRZ in post-roll condition)

*I stand corrected by someone with more time on their hands to dig back than I do today

I missed one off. It was on the Nicola Road.

The DNF rate was high, but neither the highest ever for PFR nor twice the PFR average.

An ill advised cut caused my demise, sliced the HDPE underbelly and smacked the oil pan so hard it broke the pick up.
Really really thick Aluminium skid plates will save rally, ok so it would of saved mine..

Are you saying you were running a plastic skid plate for the oil pan?

Sounds like it. Aluminum or steel is a must.

We lost the auxiliary LED's 3 km into a 10km stage, and a Talon doesn't have the best lights. All my fault it was a bad cut, in the notes it was marked as a no cut! And I will be changing it for a more robust one.
