Anyone going to Big White from Seattle and Calgary?
October 27, 2014 06:19PM
If you have checked my build thread, Mr Vanlandingham did me the amazing favor of sourcing a couple windshields for me south of the "fuck our prices are way to high"/"You want a windshield for what car?" line.

I was wondering if anyone may be coming up from Seattle to Big White and anyone from Calgary might be going as well that maybe would be able to bring them there/back? I am getting some freight quotes as well if there isn't, but thought it might be worth a chance smiling smiley

You're not coming to Big White yourself?

Lots of people going to Big White from Calgary I expect. Not sure this is the best forum to look for them in. (Try CSCC or Special Stage)

I am considering it. I would love to be there with the car, but don't think I can find the time to realistically get it assembled (since mostly that's what's left, only fab is to re-enforce the rear trailing arms) and tested before December hits...

So, leave the car at home and come out to volunteer?

I'm trying to find a way up so I can volunteer.

Anyone in the Portland area got extra room? When I get up there I have a place to stay and they might even let me borrow their truck for the weekens.

Windshields are here. Now to make a pallet to get them there safely.
Matt, are you able to sort thru all the volunteers?

I'm in Seattle and I will be here for a while. I wouldn't mind watching the rally or even volunteering (gasp!) but I'll need a ride up there. I'll chip in for gas as well.

Best of luck. Rides seem to be hard to come by for some reason. I'd have suggested the back up I had, but they decided not to go. Though coming from Seattle, you may have more luck than my trying to find a ride from Portland.

Bigwhite appears to be put on hold for me, in which case, I'll probably be volunteering. This also means I'll be picking up a wrx drivetrain in Surrey, so I probably would have room for the windshields if they made it to BigWhite

I think Spence Compston is looking for a co-driver...
He looked really good at the test day he brought the car out to, I think it would be a fun ride!
