We had a great time despite making two Celica imprints in the snow banks! Big White is a fantastic event and well worth the drive.

Dunno, John. Maybe the event's focus is on making it a good time for the competitors and volunteers instead of being caught up in other distractions. Lots of chatter on facebook, but both here and SS.com are relatively quiet.

If you weren't there you don't know what you missed... a press release won't change that!

Kind of a fun video... https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=347920061999228&pnref=story
you don't need to be logged in to see it from what I can tell.

2 SAAB 96s and a Volvo on the list
10 P4WD cars, making it the largest single class.

Morison, is your sarcasm detector broken? Or is it illegal to detect it in Alberta, like radar detectors in most of the rest of Canukistan?

I think it bears repeating...
- 34 volunteers (45%) who travelled over 500km to get to the event
Yup, that's the one-way distance.
I actually drove nearly 1000 Km to get to the event as I had to detour through Merritt to get there.

I think as Recovery 2 , Stan did 1980km over the weekend including clean up on the Sunday. A truly fanstatic rally with awesome organizors, teams and of course the volunteers.

Yes, it's a Ranger.

No question that Stan is a stand-up guy.

On Monday I got up at 4:30 am and towed the car to Yakima. Cody then drove me to work in Seattle where I jumped into my van and drove to Eugene Oregon. I arrived at 10:30 pm it was a bloody long day, but worth it.

A double edged sword. Great that there are people with the passion to travel that far, unfortunate that the percentage is so high, indicating that the local turnout of volunteers was low.

Hard to say though... one rally is just one data point.
