Nightmare scenario! Any details on the incident? WTF was that car doing on stage going counter course?

The driver is Artur Cichowski, one of the better rally drivers in southern Poland.

Situation took place on closed stage. Someone from safety team screwed up, and civilian car got on the road. Not a driver’s fault, for sure.

Everyone was just OK. BMW was fixed and is (as far as I know) still doing great job during rallies and codrives winking smiley

I met a early 70s Chrysler 4 door many years ago on stage. Fortunately it was night time and I saw his lights thru the trees coming at us. My lights totally blinded him...no contact. Found a couple dirt bikes on a stage once and several of us wrong slotted on a road in Canada and of course met a couple more rally cars going back to the actual stage, they tossed that stage. It can be a bit unnerving.
