SCCA Rally Sprint & RallyX at Dirtfish
October 06, 2015 08:22PM
just gonna leave this here, more info should be forthcoming and I imagine the website will be updated soon

This has been in the planning stages on the down low for the last several months - with the fate and upset of some other recent events, I know Kito didn't want to announce anything until it was a lock.
The SCCA board already approved the event, sanctioning and insurance is in hand.
Snoqualmie City Clerk also recently gave their blessings for the event, so it looks like all the roadblocks are out of the way.

competitive to other events of the same size - think similar to Mt Hood Rally pricing. I'll let the organizer reveal details when he makes the actual announcement.

I've always wanted to rally indoors...

We did that once years ago in Campbell CA at Protopipe ...a shop making 2 stroke expansion chambers real production..
But it was side by side so maybe more rally-cross..
One guy had been dissing the other about his fawked up little moped and said he couuld push a shopping cart faster than the moped would go...

The gauntlet was down...

After much preparation....and psychin' up...(hack hack whoa that's harsh shit man cough cough! Gimme another hit,, that's fiiiine stuff) we set up a twisty course and loaded one guy into the shopping cart, did some tire warming---keep the seat off the saddle of the moped and a little solvent on the smooth concrete and it would light the tire and smoke it..

The race was a draw.. Moped guy was doing a burnout in the pool of solvent so the shopping cart jumped into an early lead..he was about a 1/3 of a lap ahead when moped boy decided enough burn out and sat down hard on the seat---and promptly wheelied over backwards and crashed...
Shopping car guys saw it and were laughing so hard (it was good shit) they understeered wide in a corner and they crashed into a table and flipped...nobody had helmets..Concrete is hard ...

Fuckin stoners.

Yeah more Globular Wally Cwoss but close, huh?

SCCA Rally Sprint and a SCCA RallyX - 2 separate events, same day, same location, different rules
Rally Sprint = stage rally requirements, cage, etc. - rules here
RallyX = no cage, regular SCCA rules for such

Nope, different courses for the Sprint and the RallyX.
I believe there may be 2 separate stage routes for the Sprint with each being run in both directions.

Hey, I resemble the "Other Events..." LOL I like the idea of a double header unless the events overlap in such a way that people have to chose between events.

Quoted from FB
Things have been a bit hectic the last few days. Registration is now open for the DirtFish SCCA RallySprint. It opened yesterday evening. We had a delay due to a glitch in the software. We had to wait for their developer to provide a fix before I could open the event to the public. You can now sign up at:
http://nwrallysprint.com/register/
The mileage of each stage is in the rule set as I posted before. We will be running a minimum of 4 run per course/stage but I will try to run as many as we reasonable can. This will vary depending on how many mechanicals that we will have to pull off course.
The Co-driver does not need a SCCA membership and does not have to register. We allow and encourage dual drivers as well...both have to sign up.
I have been working hard to provide prize sponsorship for the last couple months. As it stand now we have a prize for every trophy position in the Sprint. I will be posting about our sponsors and the prizes over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned. You can go to the sponsor section of the website to get an idea of some of the sponsors...however, not all are up yet.
For those who missed it: We will have WICKED PIES (NY Style pizza) food truck. MOTOFISH Coffee will also be there for breakfast and hot beverages served out of a UniMog.
F-stop will also be filming the event. They will be doing a new interactive format called "360 video". I will do a post about that soon too.
