a lil late to this party but now that the integra is finishing up cage fab, run western canada champioship in 2016 and start build on 03 bmw 330i as soon as facilities become available in calgary, in the meantime picked up a spot in an airport hangar to work on the teg (no welding or grinding inside) so trying to purchase used safety gear for cheap (pshaw as if) and logistify my season.. ill post pics of the cage, new home base and other adventerous mishaps as they progress. now that i won't be a texter and a doer maybe i can get a lil criticism on the more constuctive side.
good luck to everyone with they're 16 plans! All bridges burnt, island life is beauty |

1. Continue paying dumb house bills
2. Not do again 3. Get car put back together 4. Buy tires 5. Show up to a few RallyCross things 6. CHCA - CORE 1? 7. Alaska Honeymoon 8. CHCA - Lands End? 9. CHCA - CORE 2? 10. Use all of the mad cash from the Red Bull and Monster Energy drink sponsors I'll have gotten towards a WRX/STi swap. 11. Lay back in a bed covered in money made form sponsors instead of the one I'm still trying to pay off. 12. Profit R.Sealey http://www.facebook.com/SealeySport http://www.youtube.com/ryolse |

355 days ago I was going for a quadruple back flip off a small jump while skiing...
Or so I like to say to make it sound cool, but in reality I was just going too fast off a jump that I hadn't gone off of before and didn't realize it wasn't as small as it looked and that the pitch increased right at the lip. Next thing I knew I was being flung in what felt like super slow mode backwards seeing one thing after another between my legs as I waited for the the final impact knowing it wasn't going to be good. After being sent to the hospital the original doctor just wanted to throw a big cast around me but the US Olympic orthopedic surgeon happened to be there for another surgery and said absolutely not and sent me down to Denver for surgery where I got my new anti slouching super back mod. In the end I had 2 fractures along the body of my T5 and while in surgery they discovered I had also broken the outer spinal process. Luckily I work for a company with amazing health insurance who takes great care of their employees and picked up most of my bills so I only ended up paying for the co-pays. It's really been screwing with me with things I've been doing since and making me doubt lots of situation that I otherwise wouldn't have thought 2nd about or knew I would be fine with... Really glad you survived that..Jeeze... Anything else we can post as our plans for 2016 pretty much pale in comparison to "not try to almost die or paralyze myself for life".. I started skiing when I was 5..Never did it enough to get great just intermediate. Last time I went was about 1994-ankles and knees said to me "no thanks". I believe I'm over it. I started 28 (or so) years ago when I was 4 and have only taken 2.5 season off now. I use to go off of bigger dumber crap during the 10 years of snowboarding, but usually just stay out of there since I went back to skiing about 5 years ago. There were about 2 months where I was stuck in a recliner all day and night with only the thoughts of how much worse it could have gone. The thought still comes to me which really sucks and has killed lots of fun or hopes for it.
Yeah... they've been like that, but haven't really cared enough to spend the minute to fix it. R.Sealey http://www.facebook.com/SealeySport http://www.youtube.com/ryolse |

I would probably do Temple over Lands End just due to it's easier to get to and with the exception of the finish easier grade on the low powered car. But anything with that kind of distance + other expenses before the Honeymoon cruise, which is during the week of Memorial day, would be tough on the budget. CORE should be easier just because there's no lodging/food/etc and it only costs a tank of unleaded fuel.
Either way I'm going to save up for some tires in 2 weeks, new or used. Then the next check is either for the tax man because of last year, or seat brackets. R.Sealey http://www.facebook.com/SealeySport http://www.youtube.com/ryolse Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/08/2016 03:58PM by ryolse. |

2016 looks busy, I'll be headed out to the west coast for all of the CRS rounds to Codrive for Andy Cowan, and select events on the east coast with Rob Dawson.
First two events this year are back to back weekends: 13 Feb - Ohio RallySprint 20 Feb - CRS Rally School Possibly some local Rallyx's that probably need to buy a beater for to get into the drivers seat. Get ALL the airline miles! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/08/2016 07:25PM by dunhamr1. |

You can camp out & cook at Temple too, shouldn't be much more expensive than CORE in that respect, just 150 mile tow vs a 70 mile one (each way). Also, pay attention to the payout rules. Grant and I missed those and because we skipped one more event that we should have, were ineligible for season payouts...i.e. it would have actually PAID to attend that one extra race. Glad to see you getting back into it. Dave |
