Rally Car:
1990 Volvo 240

Hello!
November 05, 2015 09:42PM
Hi, my name is Jordan Kallinen, and I'm addicted to rallying.

Anyways I just wanted to say hello from Midwestern Wisconsin and the North Shore of Minnesota. I have little experience in motorsports, which is definitely a bit of a downside, but I have driven logging roads since I could drive. I'm picking up a 1990 Volvo 240 Saturday, and hope to have it stage ready before the end of next year. I'm trying to keep my hopes low since I'm somewhat at a loss of what to expect.

I have a welding technician diploma, and a machine tool technician diploma. I currently work for Nexen Group in Webster Wisconsin. I'm originally from the North Shore of Lake Superior.

I'm planning on lots of photos of my build, and look forward to the constructive criticism or even just criticism from you.

John, I'm looking for that book you mentioned on ss.

Jordan

Welcome Jordan! Sounds like you are off to a good start, those fabrication skills are going to pay off when building your car.

My advice to you is make sure you get out and go to events. Volunteer, spectate, codrive, crew, doesn't matter what you do just go to events. It will get you excited and provide motivation to keep working on your car.

Thanks a lot to Paddy for the scans and Jason for the packaging!!

Just a reminder that the Escort (original) book is here:

http://www.rallyanarchy.com ..slash.. EscortRallyPrep
(obfuscated to prevent web crawlers from finding it)
There's an HTML version in the html/ directory there.
