I found this by accident the other day looking for info on something else.

While-yes- it's specifically a GRC build-there is of course some relation (in more restricted form) to WRC as well.

Not that WRC is any more relatable or attainable to your average RallyAnarchy reader than GRC, but if you are bored and want to see how these things make such extreme power(and especially Torque) without exploding in a catastrophic manner...check it out-not a bad read.

Coils are from a late model Toyota V6. I couldn't tell you the alphabet soup. Just saw them on, oh what was it, say '09ish Highlander with the 3.3l.

They f'ing suck because Toyota made the connectors out of uncooked pasta. No matter how careful you are, the retainer tab will break off. Even if you ever so gently lift the end with a hook instead of pushing on the release lever. Every. Single. Time.

"The mountune intake manifold is pretty interesting. The intake plenum is fed by a tapered tube from the intercooler that feeds the plenum chamber via slots between the tube and the plenum. "

Seems familiar.

Kinda nice article but poor boy is not up on a lotta this stuff clearly...he's writing 45 Pee Ess Eyes absolute!! OMG!!"
Well absolute I associate with BAR so I guess that means 3 bar absolute---and we all have 1 bar absolute pushing on us right now--so 3 bar absolute is 2 bar boost...Damn, that's old news back to the mid 80s...Something is confusing there.

Puzzling about the bore and liners...the bore spacing is WAY tight..Ford Motorsports when Pipo Motoeurs was doing the Focus motors reduced bore to 85mm they said to get thicker liners --and I know to reduce bore for upping static comp (because flame front going shorter distance means fuller combustion...Basic went from 88.5 x 84.3 to 85 x 89--like an Misterbitchy 4G63--and lord knows they make powerz.
They were going to an Arrow custom crank so?

Included valve angle of 39 degrees? That IS narrow on cars

And tumble---well don't know if the author has looked at virtually ANY pent rood 4 valve head, but to a greater or lesser degree, that's what all are intending to do...and that goes back to late 20s /early 30s on all those lovely Merlins and DB600 series and those later Klimovs V12s..

Oh well its supposed to be entertainment so who care what it says..
Pretty piccies.
