With RA increasing regional license fees and regional entry fees at national events, it seems to me like they are trying to push entries towards national. Or they wanted more money from people that signed up as regional.
If we only look at the 100AW entry list, the first theory is working (or the second theory is failing) They get more $ than last year either way . National and N/R entries for 100AW 2016 - 32 of 68, 47% 2015 - 17 of 59, 28% I need to buy tires for this season so its got me thinking. Since NRS is also offering contingency on Maxxis, I could see how a regional team could talk themselves into buying a set of tires to compete with both sanctions and possibly entering national RA if 2wd, seeing that they will get no return (monetary or product) for running other brand tires but some chance with these. Some of us run both NRS and RA events because they are close, so this isn't a stretch. For the record, I'm not sold on a spec tire for 2wd. "Spec Fiesta" if it existed? ok, I could see that. "B Spec" I can see that too. Personally, I wish that RA did something more like NRS and just made National Events national for all entries. One license, one entry fee, one results list. It would be fun to see more 10-30 year old cars getting champagne sprayed on them while $100k fiestas sat by the wayside. Dave Grenwis - DG Rally - www.dgrally.com |

Apparently there is one now fitted in this car to replace the previous Tractive 5 speed. Heard that it performs well with very slick and consistent shifting. It certainly looks like the trans gets a good work out! http://www.rallyanarchy.com/phorum/read.php?1,110846 Disappointingly not yet a Jackass |

FYI, NRS debuted a new scoring scheme for Sandblast over the weekend. It put the position graphs front and center, with the familiar "all stages spreadsheet" as the first link, and now, much more mobile friendly. http://nasarallysport.com/results/2016-Sandblast-Rally-index.htm Cheers, Anders Grassroots rally. Debuted or debuting? Because when I went to the site yesterday after the rally was over all the links were taking me to 2015 results. Luckily I am smart enough to just type a 6 over the 5 in the address bar to see the results. Grant Hughes |

Did i miss the results posted somewhere in what I would call "Normal Virtually Everywhere in the Whole World Standard Format"? You know the one that lets you follow stage by stage in a simple and clear format--which is maybe why it is the Normal Virtually Everywhere in the Whole World Standard Format? Like this: Maybe it should be called Old Folks format since it has been the norm for decades... Oh and congrats on your rally-smoto debut..Hope the bike din't smite you too bad. Nope, you didn't miss it. I think that way IS old and the world is behind. This format is ridiculously more obvious to follow. I know you and I disagree on this. Hugs! Grassroots rally. It's what I think about. |

I agree. Turns out that has to be dynamic also, since the graphs are generated as you go along. So it needs to figure out positions at each stage and rebuild those orders depending on how much data there is in the system so far. Doable, but will need more time.

Yeah but YOUR OLD. Who needs to see all the info like driver's name-co driver, car, class all right there at one glace? That takes reading and that's too much effort.. Graphics mang, it shows up better on Smartphones. COLORS... I'm surprised we all persist in typing all these letters crammed together in sequences and with all this punctuation and stuff. Graphics...Words are so old fashioned. John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! I want a first column/dot that shows the start order. That was we can see how you guys are doing on seeding.
I don't mind this though I think it'd be fun if the distances between dots correlated to time gap so you can see how far away people are from each other. Grant Hughes |

We've had that for about five years Grant. Scroll down and find "Graphs of race closeness". Grassroots rally. It's what I think about. |

Apparently, only 33% of people. That's how many clicked through to see the detailed results. So two thirds... just aren't interested. I'm sorry, I know you feel they SHOULD be, but they aren't.
The metrics say the "bounce rate" (which is how many people land on the page... and then within seconds leave) was cut in half with the new design. So yes, it does show up better one smart phones, and that's where a lot of the traffic is coming from. That's not "like, my opinion, man", that's before and after data comparing different presentation methods. If the data said that this new way sucked, I'd change it back, or try something else, but it performs about 50% better on all metrics. John, I can't make everyone go home and sit at a huge computer before they look at the scores. More and more are coming from mobile devices. So I can either make it as engaging as possible so that they can love rally as much as possible... or I can tell them to piss off and that some other way is the way they're supposed to like it.
