Oh silly me...I forgot! We are all driving on crazy narrow and twisty roads at speed faster than those lame old cars in another century..That's why we need the tape and need the same size tires...not on roads 3 times as wide in low powed cars mostly with gearing barely shorter and barely opening the throttle. Stage looks fun, nice change from the wide fast stuff. I'm guessing it won't hold up quite as well as the other roads for 50+ cars hitting it 4 times (which seems to be pushing it in a lot of places for the other roads too), but I wonder if it might be able to be incorporated into the schedule like this: * Harris East * Short Service * Alder North * "Grimes Short" South (2010 version, w/o the tight twisty bits  but spits you out right at Meadow Creek )
* Meadow Creek (w/ workers from Harris) * Service * Alder North 2 * Grimes Long South (ending right outside Placerville) * Short Service * Harris West  KF7RWG

Maybe. They have some external scheduling constraints that have an affect on which roads they can close and when. Also, I'd rather just make the right turn onto Old Centerville Rd and keep on going than stop, transit, queue up and wait, and then get going again. FWIW, I was calling it "Powerline North". Can't really argue with that, and actually now that I look at the map, the Old Centerville Rd. junction (roughly where I remember them starting the stage headed north in 2010, maybe where one might put a finish, there's houses not much further south) is still ~4 miles from the Meadow Creek start - so cutting off 4 (really good) miles of stage to cut ~1 mile of transit sounds pretty silly. Hence the 'no absolutes' in my comments. But, the point is much more that the car is being steered more dynamically and less by the steering wheel. If you look at the top drivers, their steering wheel tends to be centred - as in wheels pointing straight forward - in the middle of turns, particularly if they are driving the clean (fast) lines. The steering wheel is more of a 'hint' to the car rather than the 'command.' As for 240s, my GT would be all the way around at 180deg... but I 'think' they had a quick(er) rack in them from the factory.
