Any inexpensive ways to do this? I have a non-running 70 Baja Bug in southern Washington that has some sentimental value to my wife. Looking to get it moved out here to Rhode Island. All the big car movers want another 100% because it doesn't drive or stop. Are there any other solutions?

I would rather drive a slow car fast as a fast car slow!

David;

I am sending a boat to my dealer in Bellingham, Washington next week. I am using a local Florida trucker that I trust, and has good rates. He has to bring back a boat from the dealer for warranty work on his return trip. He will be using a long car hauler, with the boats on shipping cradles. He would probably have space to bring you your wifes' Bug.

Boat to Washington. Pick up Bug. Straight across the top, to Rhode Island. Back down East coast to bring me back my other boat.

Might work out. Let me know. I have to arrange final transports and costs with him on Monday, as the boat is ready to go, and I need everything done before we take our two week X-mas holiday on the 21st.

David;

Just an FYI...

My shipper picked up the boat this morning. Leaving Florida mid-day on Friday. He is planning on arriving in Washington state sometime Monday or Tuesday, of next week.
