While you're working on the car, don't forget to run a full time live 12v line to where you'll end up mounting the RallySafe unit. If possible, a RAM Ball mount so you can mount the unit in the centre of the car is a great idea, the temporary install kits use a cage mounted ball that would be on the co-driver's side of the car. If you're really gung-ho, we are also bringing in permanent (bolt through) antennae and wiring kits so you're not messing with them each event. (you'll see RallySafe at all western Canadian events for the foreseeable future) I'm likely standardizing plugs to a 2 pin molex, female on the 'car side' and positive on the pointy side. RallySafe wires are 20ga, so not a huge demand there. I'm pretty sure the Dirt Fish BRZs don't run heaters, and Derek Nelsons old m3 also doesn't have a heater either. Don't use those. They suck for multiple connects/disconnects. Weren't designed for it. I recommend either PowerPoles or the two-wire "trailer plugs" that can be found at almost any auto parts store. The ones that look like this:  Self-righteous douche canoe |
