Morison, you argue like these fascists Republicans we have.. were you a Harper fan? Nobody said a fucking thing about going out and practicing "bad Habits".. And I'll counter than MANY people who I have encountered who go and piss away $2500 or $3400 seem to have mainly learned some "received dogma" to repeat, and which somehow justifies the expense...and a fair number recognize that the meager exposure to the new ideas will fade to nothing very rapidly if they do not go out and do something to reinforce and incorporate those skills. Whatever, you always push what politely can be called "conservative, conventional, and obedient". And you will never concede that your experience in small 100% amateur events with cars being driven by any wider measure, moderately is a very limited vision.. You're a cheer-leader...I've often wondered if you wear pleated skirts and have pom-poms you shake when you practice your cheer-leading.. Stop arguing against your straw-red-herring attacks... Stop trying to perpetuate the idiotic idea that all learning must always and only occur in a structured environment that somehow involves YOU.. But without some basic tuition, chances are it will be bad habits being practiced and engrained into muscle memory. No shit, captain obvious. (or is that oblivious) Regular use of a skill is crucial to keeping it at its best. Repetition, and lots of it, is needed to get the most out of your performance... and I don't think anyone thinks differently. If you thought I was suggesting rally school replaces practice, you were wrong. What I was saying is that practice without rally school can be futile and counterproductive. I know all too well the limitations of my experience and exposure (or lack thereof) to the rally world at large. I'm flattered, if rather disturbed, you think of me that way. I've never said learning must involve me... that's absurd on its face value. I can help people learn, particularly about co-driving or event organising... and even a bit about driving, but in no way do I suggest I am THE place to learn anything. But... what I do know is that learning from others is better, faster, and more focussed than learning on your own. It is also likely cheaper in the long run if you measure by the time it takes to reach a competitive pace.
