I saw a note that JVL was in the 1986 Olympus Rally.

Hey Kent, thanks for posting those up. They're great! I'd be interested in any pictures you have of my Opel Ascona from the '85 &'86 Olympus. I see a few shots from '85 but none from '86 (do you have any more '86 pictures?) Also, if you were at the 1984 Carson City Rally, that was the event the car was originally brought over for.

Those pictures are beyond cool. Granted, I was seven at the time, but looking at those images, I found myself wishing I could go back and be there at that hairpin left to watch the big dog Quattros, the oft-maligned Eagle SX/4, and Shelby's tear past. What a cool post!

PS - The pictures on the straight in the woods with the sunbeams coming down are awesome. You just don't see rally photography like that much any more.
