This is the car ACP started rallying in North America...the first pic is/was his car....
The other two pics are same type of car, that I got a chance to ride in when I visited the Lada factory in Russia in 1995. It was at their test track just a few clicks from the factory a nice 5.6 km road through the country side, that is actually used in one of their winter rallies. This car is approx. 2100 lb., with a 1600 cc engine with 150Hp, 5spd. trans. close ratio limited slip dog box. We were seeing easily 150 km/h++ on short straits, on ice to top it off (ahh studded tires). This ride that took less than 3min. as far as I recall thought me how important a proper gearbox is to a rally car even with limited horespower.
...If you don't go off at least once a season you are not trying hard enough...
