I was looking at SS and almost fell off my chair laughing my Turkish ass off.
Now what kind of a PR anybody can expect from the MAIN article they have up ? I mean who the fuck cares, they RECCED. WOW !!! Hold the press. It's breaking news, I guess. I really don't get it, call me a dumb foreigner, call me Betty, whatever, but I really don't get the relevance of making news out of this. JFC !!! Is this what rallying coming to in this country ? We will be wowing, ooohing and aaaaahing because they recced ? Get off your asses and rally for fuck sake and don't give me the lame ass excuses. I don't wanna hear about how you recced, I wanna hear about how you rallied. Cheers M.Samli Phoenix AZ Gaylant VR4 EVO III GSR (Stolen) Rallies are no place for traitors |

Maybe you can request up to the minute stories of when the SRTUSA drivers take a shit.
Live updates. No since they are only there to recce, the press release4 woyuld have to read like the old poem which really sums this whole bullshit up prefectly: "Here I sit all broken hearted, came to shit but only farted." What a pile of shit. Therse guys are supposed to be "PRO" and they have to pay the entry to get the right to recce, then why not enter? Worried about looking EMBARRASSINGLY SLOW whle actiually having OTHERS watching?? Pitiful. Bullshit. Lame. Weak. WASTEFUL. Somebody needs to ask the (after the yummy Mec\xican food) burning question: Why didn't we get the blow by blow of all the OTHER things they DIDN'T do?? Anyone who's a "Marketing Manager" is automatically both a fucktard for real AND delusional, it's part of the job. They're the only group of people that coudl eat their own shit, convince themselves that it tastes like truffles, and then talk endlessly about how awesomely good it was and how you should try some.
You know how you're supposed to add "in bed" to all fortune cookies? I've learned you have to add "in America" to anything anyone says on SS.com Skye www.rallyrace.net |

I hadn't visited ss in a couple months, and I had the same reaction when I read the recce press release. Wow, you can afford to recce an international rally. Double wow, you can afford to write a press release about it.
I've heard of several well funded teams helping to groom their up-and-coming drivers by sending them on recce as a prelude to actully _driving_ the event at some point in the future. A few years ago, before the Mexico rally was part of the WRC, I considered hauling my wee little GTX down to Leon/Guanajuato for some awesome mexican rally stage experience. That was before I read the supplemental regs, which, among other things, listed contacts for helicopter hire companies for the rally teams. Definitely out of my league, Ironically, a few years earlier, I had spent a few days buzzing leon/guanajuato as a passenger in a chopper, for work, leaning out the open door with a camera, thinking how great it would be to rally on the roads below. Maybe I should have sent out a press release. chris |

The press release is lame from VSC. But that's what they do and they'll continue doing so. Specialstage's having it on the front page has nothing to do with it other than whatever Ben uploads last ends up on top until the next thing comes it. Shit, a Colorado Hill Climb article we wrote and a picture of our car ended up on the front for like 3-4 weeks because nothing else was sent to him.
