New RA bulletin

Makes me want to start a "Save the 'rade" campaign to allow Gatorade without a bulkhead and the proper grommets. I wish I had a scanner right now.

God Damned Mother Fucking Idiots. What the fuck ! Just like the Group A Galant that was built by the fucking Mitsubishi factory and Ralliart between 89 and 91 my fucking windshield washer bottle is mounted inside the car. These sons of bitches are really starting to get on my nerves. I would like to see when these fuckers will ban farting in the car.

Ridiculous bastards. I am glad I decided not to run RA rallies.

JB specified that should means recommended, not required. The way I figure, it's probably safer to have brake fluid resevoirs in the cab instead of under the hood. I imagine it's the filling and spilling of it that prevent manufacturers from doing so in car from the start.

Here is what happens. Mike Hurst is charged with keeping us safer than before and appearing safer than before, for obvious reasons. He makes a technical suggestion to a committee. Sometimes the committee leaves us scratching our heads. In this case, Pat Richard asked for a clarification on water injection in terms of what is defined as water. Some folks get confused and want to put methanol into their injection tanks, you see. Next thing you know, gatorade is not suggested. Seems wierd but I don't see it as a huge deal.

One thing to keep in mind when trying to understand rulemaking is that the insurance coverage for events is the most costly component of putting on a rally. RA can't go by the track record of rally for liability claims it sure as heck can't just hope that things won't go bad again. Unfortunately rally in the US is in a totally unique situation and we have to go by how we are perceived. To try and superimpose FIA, CARS, or other organizations' rules over our situation is silly.
