Rules of what ?

You post what's for sale, buyer pays by PayPal and you ship. Plain and simple. If money is fake or item faulty, guilty party is fair game.

Hey Mustafa

A little OT, but, do you have any roof vents available at the moment?

Thanks, Ted

PS: Add my vote to the pile for a classified section.

I don't often excercise my right to NOT use a good or service based on philosophies. Usually my own laziness (need for convienience) is to blame. But PayPal goes out of there way to quash certain rights that I firmly believe in. No hard feelins towards them though, its just a personal decision.

That's not how Frere Benistant hammered in our thick skulls, blame it on him. Fuck I had to write it 100 times on the blackboard (that was actually green).

Now, I'm curious too. Could you be more specific? I know
some people who think that their fraud investigation and
compensation policies are weak, but that's not a rights
violation.

Heck yeah.

Parts is parts, and as for a complete firearm, most sales, pawnbrokers, auctions, gunsmiths, etc give a three to ten day inspection period upon buying. If'n you don't like it, you return it.

For the small stuff it used to be really nice to be able to go online and get that '64 romainian firing pin with no fuss, no muss. But paypal and its parent company not only stopped sales of parts (unless youre REALLY slick) but they donate a million a year to orgs like Brady. Yuck.

Hahaha. You have to be kidding me. This policy just make sense with US litigous society. Can you just imagine the backlash at Paypal the first time a stolen gun, that was sold online and paid for via Paypal, and then used in a murder. They'd sue the shit out of Paypal and probably win. Paypal probably wishes they could do gun sale transactions. It's big business, but too risky.

If I had to chose any policy to dislike, I'd have to say their 30 day fraud policy. All the seller has to do is lead you on for 30 days and then your screwed and can't do a chargeback. I got screwed out of a set of Sierra Cosworth headlights from Germany. The guy states 4-6 weeks shipping time so you get screwed right from the start. But to be able to use my checking account directly to pay for things instead of a credit card is so desirable to me. My checking account never has an amount of money that I couldn't afford to be defrauded out of. Credit Cards on the other hand, have high limits, huge over limit fees, some have good theft protection but I don't really want to do the paperwork, etc. My bank is local to Colorado and it's head branch is 2 blocks from my work in downtown.

That policy regarding gun and gun parts sales has nothing to do with PayPal specifically. It's Federal Law. If you have problem, it's with the government. No business without a Federal Firearms licence can sell guns or gun part, like if you notice they specifically list recievers and reciever parts and not all gun parts. Again they are just following the law. The only incorrect thing is the part about high cap magazines, the 10 round rule expired several years ago, maybe they haven't updated the policy in awhile.

And Grant makes a good point. Even if they got a licence you would still need to show in person proper ID to purchase, how are you going to do that? And each state has different laws in addition to the Feds. The only place they could do business would be Vermont, as they have almost no firearms laws.
