thought about a 2.3t, but the 5.0 with an auto and rear gear tba (3.27 or 3.55) and 26-27" tyre

no plan on big power 225 hp and the torque will do for awhile

real focus is on suspension, brakes and a diet for the car and i

its not a beast but it growls like one

more than once thought about an elsinger 2.3t in an xratty or foxtang, run like a cossie and cost like a pinto

Forget the Esslinger.. The ARCA head costs millions and a stock untouched Volvo 16v out flows it. And outflows their $2000 aluminum one that stock manifold bolt to by a big margin...and I say the pent-roof combustion chamber makes for a detonation resistant chamber meaning we can run nuts comp in a n.a or mad boost in turbo.
And the bolt spacing is identical to Ford 2300 so the head bolts on(gotta do a little something to feed oil and keep the water in but that's easy.

Really with the 2300 i say spend no more than bearins (under $75) and a gasket set and just run it turbocharged.. stock Tbird ecu means 205 hp and 235 ft/lbs..and they way it delivers power works really good: good progressive build up...I say we're supposed to go forward-----> when you romp on the gas, not downwards..
Every V8 powered car I have ever seen goes better downwards first---then forward.

Tires just buy the fat 17/65 things most of the turbo 4wd boys buy cause they have to have the biggest.. 65cm is like 25.4" diameter,

I bet it COULD work with some 4 speed autobox. Sean Medcrofty here is a sharp mechanic and he said he paid money for a built 4 speed like in Rangers and it wrked good---till it died.

He have leg wounds?

the blue thing is the car cover that is covering my sparco seat, and that's about it for interior.

the plan is to have it ready for sandblast rally in the spring
