Got the engine in today

Finished putting the big green beast in the car today, god damn it was cold. Even wore long johns today and I was still freezing. The engine mounts, T5, trans mounts, all together its a work of art. I'm all excited about the project again.

John's going to work on the hose plumbing before he goes to jail.

Pics soon...

Too many boo-boo kittens, I think. Or maybe "Unamerican Activities"?

The poor boy may come from the fuckin frozen fuckin wastelands of the frozen fuckin INTERIOR of Colombie Britannique but he's just spent 15 months in Gnu Zeeland, no doubt indulging in unspeakable acts with all the sheep he could ( hey when in Rome, right Skye?) in the same way he used to weith the little Caribou claves when he was a kid.
Be that as it may, it WAS summer down there when he left and he drops into Sleezattle, the temp was maybe 38 and damp and a good stiff wind.

Beside Paddy, he's older! I'm sure he was grovelling on his back, sleevesd rolled up with melting snow dripping in his face, hands greasy and frozen struggling at writing code when he was you age..... and loving it!

I did get tough living in a van, showering at campgrounds exposed to the elements, NZed isn't all that warm, but then I spent 2 weeks in Sydney and 4 weeks in Taiwan and got soft again. As far as unspeakable acts goes:

I love the glittery ice crystals in the air when its around -15 C. Not weather to be working on a car outside though. *tips hat to Paddy*
