I guess the ending shows why you shouldn't run with a broken suspension part.....

That guy is a maniac!

I have a video of the 99 BRC when F2 cars were the "premier" class. Those guys were driving flat out sideways in those FWD cars and making the GN class look boring.

Awesome video. No one says FWD isn't exciting to watch.

I say North America 2WD is boring to watch. But it's because the fastest people don't run in car often enough (or at least don't share it) and there's not enough people filming to get enough good corners and/or they don't know what they're doing and film boring corners.

Speaking of, where's your in-car from Sandblast?

Um, the camera was accidentally left next to the stack of new tires, and hundred dollar bills in the garage. I went back to look for the stuff but it had all run off.

There are some short videos online at maxxhavoc on USUK racing or something. Also, some vids from WV and TN floating around on google.

If someone donates a camera :-) I will be sure to film all of the excitement at Rally NY in a couple of weeks...Actually, I have been prodding a few people to someday let me borrow something.

Its amazing how he goes on 2 wheels when hes initiating the turn. Ive see the front wheel lift on M3 LTW's and rear wheels on VW's but never both at once.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about rally cars specifically.. it's not really oncommon in general though. I think it's faster for 4WDs to slide through the turn, but I'm no expert.

Cruising around the ImprovedTouring forum, it appears to be quite common for VW racers, especially with Mk1s. Apparently some of 'em got so consistent at bicycling that they would intentionally do it so they could run that much closer to the apex.

If you think that is good you should see him back in the GbB/4 days in his R5 turbo RWD car...

Jean is one of the guys that almost made it big but never did. Clearly he likes to drive the doors off the car however and I belive he has always been a fan fav.

Derek, I have read a big long interview with the Team manager at Renault who pointed out that when Ragnotto was in the 1800 Clio with 175 bhp he was quicker on every single stage comapred to his WINNING times when he was in the Super5 GpB car.
He said it depended not on tires or suspension improvements from 1983 or 84 to 1994
"We had truck loads of shocks and semi-loads of tires, no no no, pas de toute"
>A stiffer chassi thanks to intergrating cage and body
>A LSD allowing no more than 10% difference in rte of rotaion side to side, a "90%" diff, vs the GpB cars 40% diff, and
>330mm discs and big 4 pot calipers vs 240mm with 2 pots before.

And 110 bhp less than the previous car.
