Max Attack - Who's going to win it?
April 20, 2007 01:31PM
Entries, SF, Car
Cary Kendall/Scott Friberg 68.83 2005 Dodge SRT-4
Kyle Sarasin/Mikael Johansson 60.21 2002 Ford Focus
Bill Malik/TBA 54.30* Volvo ?
Tom Burress/Don Burress 53.15 1977 Volkswagen Rabbit
Eric Burmeister/Dave Shindle 52.96 2007 Mazda MAZDASPEED3
Michel Hoche-Mong/Sameer Parekh 52.3 1985 VW GTI
Aaron Neumann/Graham Coates 52.25* Civic
Mark Tabor/Benjamin Bradley 52.20* 2002 Acura RSX Type-S
Kris Dahl/K. Edward Dahl 50.59 1988 Honda Civic
Chris Blakely/Ian Pinter 41.30* 1992 VW GTi
Sans Thompson/Jeff Secor 33.76 2004 JEMS Neon
Charles Buren/Teresa Buren 30.75 1995 Subaru Impreza

Peter Barnes/Ronald Crawford 29.08* 2003 Nissan Sentra SER SpecV
Tommy Kilpatrick/Michael Kilpatrick 25.11 1991 Honda Civic

Andrew Havas is apparently there in I assume a RX7 as well.

I wasn't sure who all had upgraded their entry to National, so I assumed all had.
So, my guess at the winner at the end of Sunday. Good luck to the rest. It's Max Attack. Only one spot really counts right. smiling smiley
1st - Malik

I think my vote goes to Lurch.
Malik is very fast however often has problems resulting in DNF.
Havas may take it, although I give the advantage to Lurch.

If Havas is there he might win.

If Duplessis is there (don't know if he is--Mad Mike put him in the pro-picks on SS) they might win.

Lurch is bound to have more teething trouble in that fancy rig if history is any indication. But, I hope to see a good battle!

I believe no Duplesis at least thats what the entry list shows but even if he was there so I think he would be 3rd or 4th

Havas
Burmeister

I am out of the loop, but I thought A. Havas had turned to the dark side?

Havas won it fair and square. Buress was quicker on several stages, but lost it in the woods til the damage was insurmountable. Kendall was quick, but broke on the last stage.

Fun rally.

Top 2wd stage times
April 24, 2007 09:46PM
5 different drivers had top 2wd stage times.

Havas won 6
Kendall won 6
Burmeister won 2
Burress won 1
Decker won 1

And Havas, Burress and Burmeister each had top 10 overall stage times in a tough field of AWD cars.

Good stuff.

I think Birress was also 9th overall on a stage...

I could be wrong I am not going too spend all that much time sorting out how to use the RA website... I think it was one of the sunday stages.

In the long run reality always wins.

Kyle "the kid" Sarasin may have driven the smartest rally of all the maxattack cars. He didn't win any stages but he finished 2nd overall. He turned 18 on Sunday. Consistent and smooth. Watch out down in the future.

Know why this young fellah is so good. Cause he's from the friggin' U.P. Man. He goes sauna at Himes Camp.
