Rear suspension is too soft for my liking, but the car did fly mostly flat and rear bottomed out hard...gotta get something figured out there.

What bottomed out? Chassis to ground? Spring went into spring bind? Rear shock stroke too short?

Not entirely sure, but got a nice zing up the spine on the landing and my gopro camera mount sheared right off. This car has stock springs from a 3-series convertible (heaviest ones offered in 3-series), but I don't know what sort of rates are used (loads of searching just yielded "somewhere around 100F 300R...but rears are mounted pretty far inboard). I can say that with OE front struts the car was a blast on the ice tracks, better than the compact because it was softer all around. The compact uses 200# springs on the shock body. Just need to figure out a slightly stiffer setup in the back but so many BMW things are shrouded in secrecy. Would like to keep this car simple and find a slightly taller stiffer rear spring. Wondering if it might make sense to look for a 5 or 7 series car in the junk yards.
