I have a question:

Due to my foul temperament and general disagreeable nature, I go through co-drivers like hotcakes. Is it permissible to enter only the driver in the championship?

Also, I demand hoodies, stickers, and flag girls.

If you'd promise to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the you wouldn't get slapped, big boy!eye popping smiley

Hey Dave,

Yes, $40 a season and we are scoring Driver and Co-Drivers per class! So you may have a series of co-drivers, whether they choose to be in the series or not!

Working on the rest of your demands!!

Calendar wraps up at Big White Winter Rally in December, so the series is close!

As an update to the series, we had 35 teams register, and had a lot of interest throughout the series schedule. We are in process of having one of the series sponsors make some trophies, and these will be awarded after Big White Rally, once points are tabulated!

We are talking to a couple more sponsors for 2015, and looking at proposed schedules to keep the momentum going strong. Current sponsors are: Competition Clutch, Dirt Fish Rally School, Nameless Performance.

Class leaders are: (and can be found on the website: http://cascadiairc.com )

Garth Ankeny
Jason Bailey
Dustin Embrey

O2wd
Derik Nelson
Dave Clark
Judd Hardy

Someone mentioned this series and I didn't even realize it was still ongoing.
Then came upon this today:

So, how is the series doing? 35-40 entries at $60 each plus a few sponsors gives a little bit of budget to do things. What kind of cool stuff is the series doing?

I ask mostly as we are getting ready to revive our local series. We mostly had cool beer mug trophies and cash awards and am curious what other similar series are doing to encourage participation and grow their series. I've had ideas of eventually the winners get a paid and supported entry to a national event and such but nothing solid.

Per CIRC website...

Cascadia isn’t just for bragging rights! You could win a clutch kit from Competition Clutch, gift certificates from DMACK Tyres and John Reed Racing, and gift certificates for Braid wheels through Trackside Motorsports!

Well that's just the free stuff/donations from sponsors probably. Like Formula Photographic doing coverage video of Mt Hood is a donation and awesome!
I guess I am more curious if they are doing any cash prizes.
Who actually owns the series?
What is the $60 individual payments going towards?
I know the Colorado Rally Cup we used that money ($50 per season) to pay for vinyl (labor donated), trophies (labor donated), and the rest went to cash purse.
The death of our series came from the cancellation of Rally Colorado and politics between one person involved and one racing organization.

for 2014:
Quote
Morison
$80/team
21 teams
$1920 to the CIRC organisation

for 2015:
$60/team
30 teams
$1800 to the CIRC organisation

cascadiairc.com cost what $100 a year to host? So that's $200 of the $3720.

Weren't we promist a lot more?

The CIRC "staff" includes myself (Dave Henderson), Bryan Watson, and an advisory group from the rally world on both sides of the border. ...

The costs associated with this organization include,
web build and maintenance,
marketing of the series,
promotional materials that are in the works,
car stickers,
event marketing, etc.

The funds will be pooled to
source awards,
a season ending event,
and potentially a prize fund for series class champions.

Hi guys,

I haven't been on this forum in a very long time, and when I was it wasn't much, but most of you probably know me from real life, where I choose to spend my time and energy.

Bryan Watson and I are working on Cascadia - and we're going to need a minute to get it up to where I'd like it to be.

We already have the great sponsors mentioned above and on our website - that is awesome!

And I think we have competitor interest and support, which is what matters most to me.

I've been tabulating points after the events, so we will have winners at the end of the series (at Big White), and they will get trophies.

As far as any questions about the series, ask me, and I'll give you an honest answer.

Can we pay money to the winners? I don't know, I'll have to do some math and get back to you on that.
Would you like to see that money spent on t-shirts for everyone that entered?
What do you want to see for Cascadia?

You can tell me and I'll listen.

I have ideas about what I'd like rally to be. So, I help organize events, and try to learn as much as I can. I think this Cascadia thing could be great, so we're going to try to make it great.

something to say? email me rebecca.ruston@gmail.com

Hey Rebecca!
Thanks for the reply! Chatted with Bryan a bit on facebook today also. I was mostly interested as we are resurrecting a regional Colorado based championship in 2016 and have decisions about how to structure and such and was mostly curious how CIRC was doing. I think it's a good idea and I'd like to talk more offline about how Rally.Build can help support the series in 2016 if you guys choose to continue with it!

Thanks! I'm sure we'd love to have support from Rally.Build! And, yes it will continue in 2016.

I think right now I have more questions than answers, but we're working on it. Happy to chat with you about it anytime.
