Sandblast Rally - March 1st 2014
January 26, 2014 02:49PM

The awesome Sandblast Rally, based in Cheraw, SC will be run on Saturday March 1st, 2014.
Registration, Scrutineering, Shakedown, and Parc Exposé are all happening on Friday.

As of this posting the entry list has 95 competitors! 51 rally cars and 44 rally motorcycles.

As always the best way to see the action up close and personal is to volunteer to help run the event. Even the service area will be hours of non-stop activity with this many competitors.

Also, with this level of participation the final stages are bound to be run in the dark. Are your lights up to the task? USUK Racing has just received a fresh batch of their amazing 20" 10,200 lumen LED Light Bars.

Recently run on two cars at Sno*Drift Rally, one of which was driven by Bill Caswell, who says, "For the price, nothing touches them. Nothing."

See you all there!

I still think rally motorcycles is the coolest thing for U.S. rally in the past 40 years!

Thanks for starting this Simon. We are still in need of volunteers for the rally so if you want o check out rallymoto for the first time this is the best event to see it. Bikes in the sand is hard to beat.

Really exciting to see 49 car entries and lot's of 2wd.

sign up information for volunteering is here.

Sandblast Rally competitors, especially the cars smiling smiley - there is still time to place an order and receive one of the USUK Racing LED Light Bars in time for the event.

Operators are standing by! (Well, just me then.)

USUK Racing are going to try a different streaming service for Sandblast Rally. We'll use LiveStream to broadcast live video from inside the rally car during the event. Many stages have pretty good cell phone coverage so we're hoping for a decent broadcast. So go to https://new.livestream.com/accounts/7297793/events/2790239 then register and "follow" the event. You should get a notification when we start streaming. The good news with LiveStream is that it is ad free. But for that feature you do have to register with the website. Please let us know what you think.

Despite the driver coming down with a case of Acute Prostatitis on Friday we managed to achieve 14th overall, 10th AWD and 2nd OAL.

USUK Racing's in-car videos are now available, complete with cool intro and log data (turn on CC - Closed Captioning).

Here is the full playlist.

Feedback appreciated!
