new house, 220v hookup

So, took the keys last night to a house I'm moving into this week. Really liked the house before we decided to take it (just renting). Anyway, meet them there last night to get the keys. As we got the tour on useful stuff, like main water shutoff, etc, I ended up finding a 220v plug in the garage I didn't see the first walk through. Checked the breaker and it's labeled "welder".

Needless to say, that was an unexpected bonus to find. Oversize 2 car garage, so room for the car and all the goodies (tools) on the other side

congrats. i see that in a lot of houses i go into for work, and seeing as our equipment all runs on 220v it keeps me from having to pigtail out of the box. which i hate.

now one of these days i have to put one in my garage.

the cobblers children have no shoes...

I did the same thing. Saw welder label on a dual breaker in my box. Discovered the 220V plug on the whole house vacuum system in garage. Bad ass! FYI, whole house vacuum rules!
