I grew up in Montreal and surrounding area, and always thought that Quebec could do just fine on its own, with its strong culture and resourse/manufacturing based economy.
But looking at Cascadia, now that is a great idea. Combining those states and B.C could result in a great country with high taxes, high social spending, and the best that north america has to offer as far as terrain goes. Sort of a Swden of the Americas.
Just think of the possibilties for us rally nuts.
Cheers

Lets include Alberta.

Not for their culture, or red neck ways... but we do need their natural gas, oil, and cattle.

At first I couldn't figure out why you'd include Oregon, then it hit me.

Without the gorge, where would we go to watch outdoor concerts ? And well I'm sure there's got to be plenty of roads in the Willamette (sp?) Forest that would be suitable for Rally use.

We just need to eliminate the USDA Forest Service !

Then start the :

Cascadia Forest for Rally Use (CFRU)

On a related note, (related to the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus site):
