Anyone here familar with selling on Craigs List?

I agree with Anne . This summer the fridge in the 5th wheel died. We ordered a new one rather than trying to repair the old one. The dump charges big money to drop off a fridge so I put the old on CL for free. It had lots of good parts for someone. I got one call, one guy showed up and happily packed it off. Probably saved me $100.

Another CL 'trick' is to tell the seller you live many, many miles away and can they meet you somewhere in the middle...the middle being a few blocks from your house. People pull that all the time.

When my poor old RV died, rest its waterlogged rusty completely siezed up soul, I sold off stuff that still worked on craigslist. Just like every other occasion that I've done this sort of thing, I met the buyers somewhere other than my house, and it was come and get it no shipping even remotely considered. This eliminates 99.9% of all craigslist scams. Cash on the barrelhead oughtta take care of that last .9% unless you get taken by a counterfeiter.
