Yup: http://news.investors.com/blogs-capital-hill/112012-634082-federal-deficit-falling-fastest-since-world-war-ii.htm
Now you're part of the 6% that know that. And what does that liberal pinko screed Investors Business Daily think we should do? Repeal the sequestration. We're contracting government spending too fast. Oh son of a fuck! Medicare spending growth is down as well! http://aspe.hhs.gov/health/reports/2013/medicarespendinggrowth/ib.cfm It can't be all sunshine and roses, Obama fucked something up. Well, how about the long term debt projection from the CBO? http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2013/02/05/cbo_projects_high_stable_budget_deficit.html Fuck double fuck! For as long out as the CBO scores, the debt-to-GDP is stable at around 80% of GDP for the next 10 years. Well, nice going Obama. You inherited the second worst financial collapse and you went and uhh.. I guess stabilized everything pretty nicely. Thankfully we've got that sequestration gun pointed directly at our foot or there'd be hardly anything to worry about. |

Well, how about the long term debt projection from the CBO?
"The broader takeaway should be that this is largely meaningless. The noncrazy worry about large projected long-term deficits has nothing to do with deficits and instead is about the fact that buying health care services for all these old people is likely to be very expensive. It happens to be the case that the CBO currently draws the lines so as to make that register as a lot of borrowing, but paying for it with higher taxes wouldn't be fun either. The question is whether we can find some more efficient ways to get treatment to the elderly. The Affordable Care Act contains some ideas, and hopefully some of them will pan out. But more has to be done." The CBO changes their numbers quite often depending upon which way the wind blows... And 'medicare spending growth' the rate of increase of costs is not as fast as last year. I'd love to tell you that the rate could double next cycle... but the amount I have owed the regular doc has gone up every year *after medicare pays their amount. And its still the same upfront cost for an office visit that it was in 08. I wonder how much $$$ will be available for medicare recipients when large chunks of the US start receiving US sponsored health care in 2014... The sequestration actually isn't anything to worry about (now that I've read up on it and understand what it does). The "cuts" amount to something insignificantly small in the grand scheme of things. Yes, there may be initial overreaction and some programs will definitely feel a pinch, but in the end, it's something stupid like an overall 2% reduction (that ends up being spread out over 2 years due to how the budgeting works). *yawn* |

It's not the amount of the cuts that is the problem, NOBODY is making that argument. It's the Neanderthal across the board, ham fisted, manner that the cuts are by law forced to be implemented. wasteful spending or super critical, doesn't matter. It's not that you couldn't cut 9% out of your family budget, it's that because a bunch of millionaire "statesmen" don't want to do there flipping' job you HAVE to reduce your car payment by 9%, your mortgage by 9%, your phone bill by 9%, your car, homeowners, and health insurance by 9%. Good luck with that.
It was never intended to happen. It was supposed to be so heinous that even these imbeciles would get of Koch's cock and do the work of the people. |

Sure would be nice if those we sent to DC could be bothered to do what we sent them there to get done.... Pass a Budget being right at the top of the list.... I'd also like to know what our Commander in Chief was doing as Benghazi went up in flames. JohnLane Overkill is consistently more fun |

What is the right answer? Reading "The Pet Goat" to a bunch of elemetary school kids? Piloting an A10 Warthog over the consulate while simultaneously manning a fire hose? |

Perhaps you should stop watching the Communist News Network or BS-NBC or even that Leftist-Shill "News Organization": Fox. A) I Don't listen to "talk radio". Or watch "Newzez" via the Liestream Media. B ) A piece of paper that was waved-about by some Pol is not a "Budget" - but a fucking piece of paper. "Dingey" Harry and "Cryin' Towel" Boner (or whateverthefuck his name is) have postured and preened and blamed the lack of "progress" on this "Budget Thingie" on each other, each other's "Parties", position of the moon, that time of the month, whateverthefuck excuse they get-together and decide they will use this time. Those two cocksuckers should get a room, and spare the rest of us this silly farce. Fact of the matter is, we are now over 1400 days since the last time the Senate brought any Budget to the floor for a vote. Nearly half that since one went before Congress. I hate fucking politicians. Parfois, on fait pas semblant! I am: I know: I am from: Nobody. Nothing. Nowhere. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 03/01/2013 07:15PM by Creech. |
