Political Humor (v. Bush)
February 05, 2006 11:16AM
I chuckled this morning when I read this one:

George Bush awakens one morning to bad news from his advisors. "We're sorry to tell you Mr. President, 5 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq today."

"Oh dear," says the Presdient, shaking his head in sorrow. "This is terrible, how will we tell the nation?"

His advisors frown, confused at the strong reaction, but trusting in their President as he rises resolutely.

"We must call a prss conference," Bush announces. "But remind me first - how many is a Brazilian?"

A country doctor is suturing a laceration on the hand of an old farmer.

Old man: "All you need to know about politics is that young George Bush is a post turtle."

Doctor: "Oh? What is a post turtle?"

Old man: "When yer driving down a country road, and ya come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top? That's a post turtle. Ya know he didn't get there by himself, he don't belong there, he cain't get anything done while he's up there, and you just want to help take the poor thang down."

Morton we don't vote for president, some secret cabal called the electorial collage does it for us. Clinton lost both elections if you consider he never got 50% total of the popular vote. Most countries would require this. Not Fortress Ammerikkka. Oh did you happen to hear our assteamed attorney general this morning, turns out they have the power to open 1st. class mail without a warrent as well.

Scott are you expecting mail from our dear friends the Taliban?
If not you likely need not worry about the Feds listening in on your conversations on the telephone too. Or are you expecting Osama to call, wishing you a happy birthday?

I'm with John (not literally of course), on this one.

Unless you have something to hide, why worry ?

I've had some friends get their house raided by the FBI and Homeland Security. There a bunch of white punk rock kids in a party house that work in bookstores and such. They ran two non-profits, one giving meals to homeless people on Fridays while talking about politics, and the other building bikes for free for people on Tuesday and Thursdays. They were avid dumpster divers and that's where alot of the bike parts came from. One of the girls was listed as a contact once for an anti-Bush rally after the last election.

You're quite naive if you think they are only spying on "terrorists".
I'm sure there's plenty of 80 yr old grandmothers who march in peaceful anti-WTO protests getting their mail steamed.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I have had my photo taken by the FBI. That's enough to get me going.

John- Why aren't we going after Osama? Oh that's right it would offend his family, who payed for GW. Who's plane was the only one allowed to fly after the 9/11 attacks? Why the Bin Laden's of course. And trust me, I want the bastard as much as anyone, MY WIFE was there in NY that morning and had been at the Trade Towers less then 12 hours prior. She witnessed it first hand. She also went back in November that year and worked at ground zero and the morgue. I've been to NY in 2002 to attend a Salvation Army commemortation and seen the damage first hand.

I can just IMAGINE the howls we will hear if/when we are hit again!!
"Bush didn't do enough!!" We haven't been hit in a while so suddenly the terrorists should have all manner of rights..... To our dear friends on the left the Terrorists are a law enforcement issue..... Somehow the left manages to forget that the terrorists consider themselves to be in the beginnings of a Holy War that they are all too happy to die for; and that the terrorists and their ilk are happy to take a hundred years to get there. Nice.

These people belong to this religion that has them Killing all over the world because of a bloody CARTOON.

Sorry if it sounds harsh but I believe we are well past due with making glass runways.

No he didn't do enough, the Tora Bora mountains should be the Tora Bora plains.

Speaking of killing and religion, these guys haven't even scratched the surface of what militant atheistism accomplised, in terms of sheer numbers, in the last century.
