Cmon. One person, somewhere, wasn't wearing his belts tight enough and bumped his noggin and that's good enough justification to outlaw open face, right? I've got closed face now, and the worst thing about it in my mind is the extra heat when it's the middle of summer, and the inability to smoke ciggies with my helmet on. Or take a drink of a bottle of water, but mostly the cigs.

3 years ago at Ramada waiting for the Silly Stage with the full face brain bucket on I got frustrated and asked one of my crew to cut me 10 inches of the clear hose we use for bleeding brakes, clean one of course, put a ciggy on one end and lit it up, BAM ! A full face helmet ciggy attachment. I think they have some pics of me like that somewhere.

Everyone who smokes has a smoking problem. Myself included.

I can't agree more.

It's a major problem not having an endless supply of ciggies.

But don't you smoke those nasty Camel Turkish Royal things? Now, that's a problem. I came up with this theory relating to all the fancy Camel's they always come out with in weird little cycles. My theory is that they actually cost less to make, they give them cutesy names like Camel Turkish Royal or Silver or Special or whatever and then market them and they sell more and have bigger margins. Of course, I also know that a Parliament Light in a box is about a mm shorter than in a soft pack yet I still buy the box. That's all I can smoke now cause they don't get all soggy filter when stuck in my mouth cruising my scooter at it's blistering top speed of 35 through downtown Denver.

See, once you master the art of smoking, you don't have to worry about soggy filters, except when someone is eating a lemon infront of you whilst you are smoking.

You are right I do smoke the Turkish Royals. In the early 80's when imports were frozen and banned in Turkey it was a bitch to find Marlboros and Camels. Back then I was smoking Camel filters, in 85 when i started rallying for Marlboro Mitsubishi Rally Team, the Team Manager Didier Francois used to bring me Camels stuffed in Marlboro packs. He used to tell me that it was improper for a Marlboro driver to be seen smoking Camels.

I don't get the lemon? Does it make you salivate? I only really have the soggy problem when I got half the smoke in my mouth while riding the scooter. (One day I was smoking, holding a soda, and talking on my cell phone (no fancy Bluetooth thing like you have either), all while riding my scooter around downtown Denver during lunch time. I am safe.)

Actually I smoked mostly Camel filters before the switch to Parliament. I buy Camels if they don't have Parliaments.

I could see that as being improper. Kind of how half the Audi shop employees drive Subarus.

Man, lemon gets me going. When i used to play trumpet my buddies would make life miserable for me eating a lemon infront of me.

Howcome your scooter is not equipped with a cupholder ?? How inaproppriate.

Against all protests from JVL i am driving an 04 WRX.

I have owned a lot of new cars but the WRX is by far the most poorly assembled car I owned. I love the power, traction, looks and all that happy horse shit but the fit and finish sucks ass. I have never seen a driver door lock striker coming loose in a new car before. The dash is constantly rattling and clicking. Stuff like that.

Yeah, we stick with the early version of the Impreza. And we're using the 91-94 2.2L turbo motors instead of the newer WRX motors in our swaps. If I had the money (or ambition for a daily driver), I'd get an 05 or newer Legacy GT for a daily driver.

I saw a cup holder on a stroller that would work perfect on my scooter actually. But I don't drink soda anymore so I never ride with a drink, except the occasional coffee on weekend mornings, but I always wait until the closest coffee shop.

There is a scooter race in July here so now I have to figure out how to adapt a 125 cc shifter kart motor with a six speed to the thing. Though my scooter would be a death trap over about 50, but at least I could get there quicker, or at all.
