Nice video showcasing the Sand Hills here in Nebraska. It's beautiful out there, some of the last unspoiled prairie left in the country.

BUt, but,but... that looks like a great place for a tar sand pipeline so that fantastic stuff can make us all great. Or was that piped down to the Gulf to be sent overseas? I get confused.

The pipelines are already THERE, dude. The "controversy" is the short section connecting the ones there, with the ones in Canada.

In the meanwhile, BNSF is currently shipping all that crud via "ultra safe" tanker-car.....

Yeah, shipping the worst stuff you can pull out of the ground over unspoiled prairie with the Ogallala aquifer underneath it makes total sense. Yay! Energy independence! I guess if the water that comes out of the garden hose is flammable, that's just the price of progress.
