There are limits to the observation that the internet has made the world flat, it just makes it far too easy to insult other people who might have a different viewpoint or reality..

Face to face communications in real time are always the best form of interaction. About 70-90% of the info provided is received.

Telephone is about 50-60%, e-mail , blogs, voicemail tends to be in the 25-40% and often there is no visual clue that you have hurt someones feelings.

This is how flame-wars start. Most people would never say face to face what they might say on a Blog or e-mail.

In my profession, person to person and telephone usually just means more fluff and flatulence of the mouth from one person, often not the important one. Most people are waiting for their chance to speak, not listening. Email, no one can change what you said, but implications and tone are very important.

That theory is flawed. Looking closely at the equation the pic of a "normal" person appears to show non other than Chuck Norris!! This is obviously a major factor in how people behave on t'internet if they all think they are as tough as Chuck.

I find it best to wear one of these when on the web.
