How's your knees - AKA peddling supps.
August 26, 2013 10:05PM
So, finally got some tablets for my new supplement punched. Glucosamine and Sodium Hyaluronate combination. I've been helping a few local friends that are mechanics with poor knees with powdered glucosamine. One was in severe pain a year or so ago and is now in good enough shape to play soccer multiple times per week. The powder is gross tasting though. One mechanic mixes it in Sunny D, another in coffee, I just toss a teaspoon on my tongue and chase it down and try to avoid letting it touch my teeth.
Anyhow, they've been asking for a tablet instead of the powder and we've combined it with Sodium Hyaluronate for an optimum tablet dietary supplement. The Na Hyaluronate acts as a joint lubrication and shock absorber while the glucosamine helps with cartilage health.
Still looking for a name for the product but focus will likely be on automotive industry technicians and other real labor jobs. ____-lube seems logical. Though I realize the effective way there would be to deliver it in an energy drink form. smiling smiley
We also have a new iodine supplement and boron supplement that we are compounding at the lab if anyone has any interest in those.

UR teh spamm4r!!!!

Got anything that will help me stay up all day when I get up at 3am to go unload trucks or pull inventory from the back room just to backstock 70% of it because the shelves are full?

I do know a couple old wrench spinners who could probably use something for their knees and shoulders after 45+ years under cars on a concrete floor.

This stuff anything like the Dasuquin I give my dog every day? He seems to like the liver flavor. Then again, he also likes to eat poop and the neighbors' garbage.

You'll sell more if you call it joint lube but you'll get lots of complaints.

Sounds like a good idea and I hope it works out. This is a tough business and the amount of pain we endure would surprise most people.

Not spam! I guess I wasn't clear that I was trying to get name ideas. smiling smiley

I've made so many changes in lifestyle in the past few years it's hard to attribute things. From PB sandwiches twice a day some weeks as only meal to decent garden and homecooked meals and breakfast. From coffee to tea. No soda or snacks so so big dietary changes. I can now find an option that fits my alcohol consumption on forms since none have a 10 drinks a night category. I have a group of supplements that I take occasionally though I'm not very good at doing so regularly. I eat grass fed butter as much as I can and mostly because I don't like to cook it, I hardly eat any red meat anymore. I ate fast food once that I can remember since NEFR 2009. I see my chiropractor every 4-6 weeks or so and I don't sit at a desk most of the day anymore. I bought some Redwing boots for shop work and some Nikes for standing in the lab doing sample prep and testing.
But, I play soccer pretty well and pretty hard and ride a bike as much as I can and am probably physically in better shape then ever in my life. For a while there my ankles would hurt so bad on Sunday night that I could hardly walk without being in pain. Shop all day Saturday and soccer on Sundays (90 min outdoor and 50 minute indoor games) Knees and lower back were pretty sore regularly as well. Now I feel tip top and feel ready to play more on Sunday nights when we finish.

Why are indoor games shorter? Are they faster pace, or because its easier to schedule more?

Knee Ease could also work

Indoor field is small with walls and super fast pace. I can play full 90r outdoor, only about five indoor before I sub.
We sell a vit c supplement also.
I like flexmagic. smiling smiley
