How about we support them here by funding job training programs worked out with local industry? It be cheaper than paying for a lot of expensive toys.
Give 'em wages, health care, training, re-location susbsidies---same as they get now.
Just stop blowing other people up.

We aren't clever enough to ever do anything worthwhile anywhere where it is still basically a collection of tribal and clan societies.

Seriously. The peace prize recipient so far has bombed in 6 countries abroad. We need (and have needed) Commander control, not gun control.

I'm pretty sure this little delay ('conversation') in the invasion is so Congress can be sure they are properly invested in Raytheon and GE.

At least NOW he plans on running it passed Congress...But we'll see what happens if and when they tell him to pound sand.

Seeing as how he's a Chicago politician(which I'm very familiar with), I'm not too optimistic. The Chicago way is: "I'll do what ever I want and let the courts/lawyers/whatever figure it out later."

Oh, but it's so much more ironic. The AUMF that Obama has been citing to drone the crap out of Pakistan, Yemen, etc, would allow Obama to get involved in Syria even if Congress says No ... as long as he came in on Assad's side.

He chastized Bush for the Patriot Act, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

Here were are a few short years laters...And we have PRISM going full-steam ahead, Benghazi, and now Syria.


I'd like to think that this will be a wake up call for the idiots that voted for him because he was cool, black, whatever....But I know nothing will come of it. His nutswingers will defend him until they're blue in the face. I actually heard this yesterday regarding Syria: "Well, if he[Obama] supports it, he must have a really good reason." This coming from the same person that went out and protested Iraq/Afghanistan multiple times because "we're not world police" and the President "has ulterior motives". Hypocrites.

Yeah, I heard the same sort of rubbish from a caller calling into C-SPAN a day or two ago. Said something like: "I support the president. I voted for him to because he can make the decisions for me.... blah, blah...."

Dumb asses!

Wonder what these douche bags will have to say when their 1st amendment rights are gone. Oh yeah... they won't be able to say anything.

BTW: recently saw some neat t-shirts etc with the NSA logo and below it something like "NSA is the only government agency that actually listens to me."

If you think Benghazi is an issue, you need to switch of Faux News.

95% of partisans support their candidate no matter what. Though I've gotten emails from left wing pac's fighting against action in Syria so at least some people stick by their ideals.
