Why? Why voluntarily saddle oneself with some engine that is so poorly designed it needs all kinds of junk that superior engines don't even need?
And, unlike those engines with all the etraneous junk like cams and valves and valve springs, the superior engine you had fires every time the piston goes up instead of occasionally, every now and then...talk about an incruable chronic misfire? Ever wonder why for a given engine size and power level those expensive things with all that extra junk has to rev more or less twice as much to make the same power?

Such a nice bike and you sold it.....confused smiley

Two-strokes are fun, but I want something that I can street-drive(legally) as well. I'm in Chicago, so I don't get to play in the woods as much as I'd like to.

Strangely I looking forward to how sore I'm going to be on Monday!

You live in Australia and got an XR400? Be careful out there as I understand sheep ain't particulary fond of that model of bike.

BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That's gold!

I'll keep an eye out for any rams, esp. now I know I'll be the target just because of my bike.

More crazy stuff, though not sure what to think, impressive skill or stupid doing it on a live track with other riders.

I finally picked up my bike in Seattle over the holidays and the damage isn't too bad...new front wheel and axle should do the trick. If only my arm worked like it should....no replacement parts for that it seems. Might be back on it by April...fingers crossed!

I raced the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit in 08(maybe it was 07) on a Yz250 before I raced cars. Finished 4th my first season in 250b. Only been on a motorcycle a handful of times since.
I run a bike/ski shop so I spend a huge amount of time on them. I raced the Enduro World Series race in Winter Park last year and will be doing the EWS event in crested butte this year along with a few others.

I need to do some enduro (mtb) racing. Nothing like 35+ mph on a narrow, tree lined trail with jumps. I need to go for a ride.

New ride: 01 cr250 that I'll be riding in the woods primarily. It already has an FMF Gnarly pipe, shorty silencer, slightly larger rear sprocket, Hinson clutch, radiator guards, etc.

I plan on swapping the carb for a PWK air-striker, re-vaving/springing the suspension, and adding a larger fuel tank to start. I also want to do a Rekluse clutch eventually.
