Yeah, he's ripping around in the thing since he has it Mega-squirted. Says it runs like a raped ape.
Hey, call him up and go lend a hand parting a Xrattie or two which rust has won the battle on. Get some parts.
Then go for a ride in the 96.
Take piccies!!

Yeah, message from him on my machine this morning.

Kara and Avery just came back on the red eye from visiting a friend in your back yard (Olympia), so the whole family is a bit jet-lagged today (me from having to drive to Bahstun at sunrise and deal with that #$^%#@%^ traffic).

A mega-squirted 96? Yeah, I have to check that out, I'll call him back this evening, gotta go run a couple errands now.

OK, this may be an obvious question: what does "mega-squirted" mean? Turbo'd? Injected? Lusted over by men without control?

I like the last option.

It's sort of linux for your fuel injection. Home made computer (can buy kits in various stages) and open source softwarez. From what I understand.

Thanks for the enlightenment. It's not the sort of thing we in the BMW dealer world would come across. I need to hang out aftermarket more often

I hear that MS is not very rally friendly. I have also heard it rattling internal connections/solders off. How true is that?

Since you build it yourself, the connections are as good as you make them.

If poorly assembled no ECU is rally friendly.

I know a few people running MegaSquirt in rallies one of them is Jon Rood another one is Mike Masano, they both drive the shit out of their cars and so far no ECU failures.

Even I thought of converting the Gaylant to MS once or twice.
