Make me feel like an "also ran", field filler, or jack up my entry fee? F$ck you. I'm not coming. Treat me like a friend, with respect, and let me know you've done everything to encourage me and my friends to come play on your roads?? I WILL be there! Volunteering or racing, I will support you as well!

Absolutely agree.
My approach, as an organiser, is that it is the local/regional competitor who is the main 'client.' I build events around making it easy (possible?) for the team with no service crew. (Fuel shuttles for remote fuelling, single service park, longer than 'minimum' service stops, options to get the 'full' mileage, etc.)

First Rally attended (2000), First Rally competed in (2001)

Rallies attended (120) Countries attended rallies in (11)

And we are mostly the minority at most events. Often half the entry list is unknown names and are gone within 1-3 events.

Alright stats guys...

Are we the minority at "most events" or the majority at all events... winking smiley

I see a longitudinal study of event participation!

I'll give you the majority when we meet in person.

Really? Miko, Cyril, Martin and Seb? Got pot-brain? I'd be willing to bet old man Sainz would run rings around all the US entries. Remember Grandpa vs. Richard?

Rally in USA is just washed up road racers and deadbeat millenials.

Damn, it would appear I need a road race car since I'd like to rally and I'm pretty sure I'm too old to be a millennial. Fkn Grant!
