Watch this space.. the crunched up GTX is going to the bodyshop tomorrow, for its' initial diagnosis. If the patient looks reasonably healthy and capable of recovery, it may just grow a bigger turbo and injectors. But first and foremost, we are going to have to do something about the loose nut behind the steering wheel.

Well hell... shorts answer is, nope. Bodyshop says it's too far gone, too much old damage, time to reshell, etc etc etc...We'll be back, with any luck in time for Pacific Forest.

Can you reshell those things with a non-GTX donor?

Yeah, ya could but I don't wanna do a floorpan swap. Tranny tunnel would be an issue on a non-gtx donor car. I can get another gtx to do a reshell, but if I can find an awd protege, that is the best option...the 1.8 drivetrain swap we did in this car, that was such a PITA, is pretty much a boltin fit in an awd protege...so maybe, we'll get something going in time for WW.
