Seems like, with a layout like that, you'd be able to come up with something really good.
(EDIT: looks like there may be a whole bunch of fences etc. in and around the infield that might make a reasonable course difficult...)

so there are some cars out there now, cool. it would be interesting to see a time lapse video of them building the course. curious to see how long that will take.

too bad they cant get out into those hills for some elevation changes inthe corse.

Well, since it's rumours and lies...

Maybe RallyCar was a bit surprised by the course layout, too? I could see them saying no to this course and dropping it from their "national" schedule.

I wonder if that's why TV2GO didn't also come out to produce the coverage?

Was TV2GO doing the ESPN3 coverage, ESPN after show, or all of it?

I was under the impression they were the only production company on site.

wonder where that impreza came from? is that one of iorio's old cars? he was one of the few people out there using the lexan side windows with the wire to hold em in place.

That looks like the Subaru to me. Borowicz or something like that.
Dodd is in a Hyundai.

we must have been doing the same thing.

that is the only 93-01 impreza and if numbers for the whole weekend were being used his is the only car w/out number on the list and no one is using 11 on the list.

unless someone brought a spare car for practice.

i dont know how friends and family of NASCAR drivers do it. they have half a dozen or more life threatening car destroying wrecks every weekend.

but for some reason this just all feels different.

perhaps it is because the jump isnt totally necessary? sure it is very cool but they could build a tunnel jump and be 75% as cool as this and a little bit lest risky.

The Idaho super special stage jump last year had a concrete top slab in case you didn't make the jump.

they could do something like that, but it wouldn't be the same visually. and with their jump being so big they would need a lot of supporting structure, which would be a hazard for the drivers going below the jump.

Yup, and the Barbados SSS had a jump like that too.

Yup, it did. Got the dirt there, got the jump built. At the last minute they contracted some NASA officials from the CO region to come help. GRC brought in their own guy for timing/scoring.
