Clutch type lsd, which brand?

Long past time to put a lsd in the honda. Seems if you want a clutch type its Cusco, Kaaz or Carbonetic. Is one brand better supported than the other?

Kaaz "has" a US presence but it seems any parts still need to come from Japan.
Haven't looked too hard, but it seemed like a lot of Cusco's catalog has to be imported.
No idea on Carbonetic.

Doesn't Wavetrac make a diff for the hondas?

I have one of the MFactory clutch units for my "new" car - I haven't used it, but initial reviews of 'em seem to be promising. (MFactory does use a bunch of little coil springs, instead of a belleville washer like Kaaz etc. Cusco offers both designs...)

If I was buying new, I'd probably be importing a Gripper from the UK.

And Kaaz, heard detailed terrible things if you need anything other than a clutch pack set...more than once..."We only sell complete units"

My interactions w/ Kaaz USA (2010/2011 timeframe) have been pretty good - reasonably quick responses via email to a tech question, and reasonably quick replacement part from Japan, particularly considering I contacted them the day the big tsunami (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_T%C5%8Dhoku_earthquake_and_tsunami) happened.

$125 for a new speedometer gear hurt a bit though...

Now that I think more on it, I think Dave blew up a Carbonetic rear in the Evo in short order. Put a stock one back in and that lasted for a few years as I recall.

I've also been happy with Gripper's support. I ordered a clutch pack from them after a shaft sheared off inside the diff, and they sent me an updated cross-pin with a beefier middle free of charge after noticing mine had an older cross-pin. I'm not sure performance wise how they compare to others, but I think it's a decent diff.

Eric, are you still keeping the car 4wd? B-series stuff, right? Is it a safe bet that the front diff is probably the same as one of the FWD diffs?

Yup staying 4wd with the B-series, however the diff in the CRV trans is closer to the H/F series diff. Takes a bit of machining to accomplish. Checked out Gripper and they don't have an H/F option unfortunately.
