Old Subaru Build Finished
December 31, 2014 06:47PM
Its been a few years now since I posted anything about the build. It was never to be a Rally car but something I felt inclined to build. RA provided me with meeting a bunch of talented people and good reads to help make decisions. So thankful for that. Robert & JVL probably forgot about me by now.

The start after all the plug welding and seem welding was done.

Ohh only about 6 years later

On to Paint!

Real Carbon Roof

Custom wing mounts to support the down force

I think they work 210lbs

Engine Bay
Stock displacement 2.5L engine with the works done to it. Right now running at 19psi on pump gas. Turbo is a GT35r. Thank you to Robert for introducing me to the art of line bending! Spent a lot of time building new lines for the entire brake system along with all the other fluid systems in the car.

Trunk
Aeromotive pump is the primary, has a lifter pump in the OEM tank. Accusump that's not hooked up yet do to being lazy and I don't think needed after the 6qrt pan was added.

Finished Product
Just finished this August, now its time to prep it for track time.

This thing just turned into something to do after a while only real purpose is to do track days and enjoy on the street. Really enjoyed the build we will see if driving it on the track is as fun.

I have trouble calling that an Old Subaru. I was expecting a Brat. Guess we know your next project.

fantastic build. this is an example of the buy vs. build argument. everything is clean and owner knows every single system and component on the car.

it needs some dents tho.

Thanks for all the positive comments! It has been a really long process. I didn't do a built thread because I didn't want to hear everyone else's thoughts on MY CAR. So I built it how I wanted to for ME. Not saying I didn't use influences from others just I was able to dictate how I interpreted it.
