dumb question. Does the horn button HAVE to be on the steering wheel

simple as that. I know i must have a horn. Does the button HAVE to be on the wheel or just driver accessible?

I've driven several cars where the OEM horn was on one of the column stalks, I doubt they would make you move it to the wheel.

I'm guessing here, but Production classes might not allow moving the horn button from the OEM position.

I have the horn button in the center panel, so the codriver can honk too. No one has said anything at tech.

Foot button for co-driver to use horn, toggle switch center console for 'Dukes of Hazzard' horns. thumbs up

No, it doesn't have to be on the steering wheel.

On modern cars with airbags no way you're using the factory wheel, and the racing wheel horns can be a bit hokey.

We also wired foot switch for co-driver, separate switch for driver.
