Briefly what you're saying is turning wrenches and hacking and welding a necessary evils to allow us to do the fun part: beating on cars down a fun hunk of challenging road..

There may be some satisfaction in doing a job well done on a motor build or a suspension mod---but that's a different thing than the HUGE MINDLESS FUN of doing closed road SSs.

And simple prep of a decent 'known quantity" car is expensive and time consuming enough, as is the maintenance...

and there'd be nothing. I hardly
said a word to my wife until I
said yes to a divorce. When I was
here,in the garage, I wanted to be there. When
I was there...all I could think of
was getting back into the Stage.

I'm here a year now. Waiting for
a inspiration. Getting softer.
Every
minute I stay in this room, I get
weaker.

And every minute Charlie
does rally stage in the bush...he gets
stronger.
Each time I looked
around...the walls moved in a little
tighter.




Everyone gets everything he wants.
I wanted a mission. And for my
sins, I gave me one. Brought
it up to me like room service........

Also, John, those 7 and 8 second DSMs running auto are well known in the Diamond Star community and they're known to have some pretty tricky witchcraft inside the slushboxes. I was really surprised the first time I saw someone running an auto transmission at the DSM shootout, but that Kiggly guy knows how to make them work.

Anything is do-able---eventually.
What is the cost is always the question..

And OK they work for 7 or 8 seconds..

Do the things work for 30-40 hours?

If you squint and look from just the right angle, a Justy is actually identical to an S1 Quattro (3/5th scale)

you got any more details on this? I haven't modified my GVR4 yet, and if there's legit reasons to run this outlander setup (namely, more potential travel) I'd be all about it. If it's just cuz, I will stick with my standard GVR4/DSM rear end parts.

i was working on a 4/5g mirage that uses the same basic stuff as the outlander and evo 1-3
it would be easier for you to use dsm/gver4 bits

I read this whole thread. You better finish the fucking thing. I want to see some AWD donuts on pavement or a 10 second colt.
Then buy some quitters caged half finished subaru when you want to try rally. You obviously have the mechanical skills to complete someones project. That's what I wished I had done. Now I'm finishing blue subaru number two,(2nd car in 6 six years) and should be having fun and kicking ass in a couple months.
