Bilstein bump stops for inserts? JVAB content

Regreasing my jvab 40's and my bumps stops are toast. They literally look like toast crumbs. One is about half there and the other is dust...

John, Do I need to buy straight from Bilstein? Are there different options for firmness? I saw a thread somewheres where someone was saying had OE, firm, and hard or something like that.

Dave I'm guessing you have the ones that were allegedly pale polyurethane foam type and not the 3 rib black bumpers..
I had a buncha the foam type i got directly from them go to pooo,, fragmented, mooshed to hell..
Odd cause previous ones with same PN didn't..

Maybe the better bet is the black ones marked B36-556A-10

Only thing those ever did was turn into goooo when they were oil soaked but most rubber does that eventually.

Awesome, thanks. Yep, those are the ones. Looked fine a few months ago. Do they need to be cut down or just left stock?

One of my inserts is pitted in 2 small spots and jacked up the bronze bushings, I plan to limp them through LSPR before sending them in. I'd like to talk about the rear bits soon as well.

Well, they didn't have that number in the system(?) and no cross reference. I didn't have my shock part #'s on me so I'm going to have to call back. You get results when you drop that number into the google. I thought German companies were more thorough than that?
