Im in the process of putting together a MK2 GTI. Its a full syncro swap car, and Im looking for a source for the wide plastic Flares I see on a lot of the hill climb cars. Are these generic? or are they custom? Thanks a ton!

How wide do you need? Hang on who is "you"? Before you get hammered on by the others rally anarchy requires a proper name and location. I think its done so there is a bit more accountability to what you post/ we like to know who we are actually speaking to. Anyway...

Mk1 arches are frequently found on kp61 starlets and volvos as a metal flare option. If you need wider it looks reasonably simple to extend them. Here is Mikko Kataja's starlet with mk1 golf flares extended.

I hope that clears some of the "Who am I up" Im literally just some guy. But, Iv looked at the rotiform flares... they are just re-branded copies, and there are even copies of THOSE copies. HOW EVER, they are nice... but expensive. I am looking for flares about 2" wider then the 16v/G60 Flares.

These guys look a lot cheaper than Rotiform or Voomeran

Also heard of people buying Z-car bolt-on flares
