Kjet fine tuning

OK, any K-Jet pervs here?
I read somewhere online that setting the fuel mixture can be done by adjusting the fuel mixture adjustment to the right until the engine bogs. and then backing off by 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn.
(to clarify, this is also referred to as the 'co' adjustment that is done through the hole between the air meter and the fuel distributor.)

Rule number one is, apparently, don't fuck with this adjustment - but I have reason to believe that this was fucked with before.

Found this on a forum.....

After assembly of the fuel system, run the fuel pump and depress the air flow sensor plate for a couple of seconds to bleed air out of the fuel distributor. Remove one injector line from the top of the fuel distributor, and while looking into the injector port in the top of the fuel distributor turn the mixture adjustment screw clockwise until the port just starts to fill with fuel then turn the mixture screw 1/2 turn counter clockwise. Reinstall the injector line, start the engine and adjust mixture when it reaches operating temperature. This is the Bosch recommended procedure for initial mixture setting and adjustment.

Yes, it's a Ranger.

Either do it with a wideband o2, or reading the voltage from the narrowband and set it to spec.
If it's the one I sent you, it's definitely been tweaked.

Thanks... wanted to avoid a wide and setup if possible.

Not the one you sent me... still the one that came with the car.

CO adjustment only affects idle and very low airflows. It's a fine-tune adjustment of the height of the internal plunger relative to the height of the plate, once the plate gets out of the finely-necked region the CO adjustment gets lost in the noise.

I wondered about that.
