Chassis jig necessary on a car with no accidents?

One, the actually adaptation leaves a few things to be desired. The input shaft doesn't fit the rotary and requires turning down, but that turns through the hardening, then you need to figure out how to re-harden it a bit. The T56 itself has poor gearing for the rotary and leaves no advantage over the regular ole turbo transmission. Plus, the adapters require the turbo transmission bellhousing to begin with. The T5 ones is either turbo bell or Rx4 bell. I was lucky to have the rx4 bell laying around.

The T5 I have sits too far forward and the shifter is significantly farther than any off the shelf shifter is allowing. This will hold true on the T56 as well.

When / if you change to the V8 thing, you will likely need to change any mounts and driveshaft you made to mate the rotary so that is both a waste of time and money.

If you really want to get piece the car out later, people will buy the turbo manual stuff anyway so its not a loss to use in the meantime.

You are probably right. I could get a spare 13b + manual transmission for the cost of the t56 swap, and it really isn't geared right for the rotary. Realistically an LS swap is 4-5 years away anyway.
