Fuel pressure sender

Any reason why using an oil pressure sender would be bad to use as a fuel pressure sender on a tee near the fuel rail?

It doesn't take much for them to start leaking oil, and you want to trust gasoline to those things?

This website started because some people wanted to whine about having to put a bulkhead around their fuel systems.

Do you really think anyone here gives a rats ass about a little fuel leaking out of a sender?

Good point, good point...

Hmm. Just had a thought. Is it anywhere in any rally related rulebook that all mechanical fuel pressure gauges must either be mounted externally or have an isolator? This is SOP in other forms of motorsport in the US, but I don't recall ever seeing it in SCCA or RA rules.

That's the thing, all the fuel pressure gauges I've been able to find are either mechanical, I haven't been able to find any electric senders specifically for EFI. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, most of my stuff is VDO...

Actually Tourette-Boy, it started because there were a group of enthusiasts fed up with the "isn't everything just Wonderful?!" speeech codes and the unstated but heavy handed "We have ways of making everything wonderful" censoring and characterization of anything ASKED to some people as "ad hominum" (and we were sick of assholes like Mad Mike using words like "ad hominum" and Proper decorum"winking smiley "attacks" when it was merely direct questions.
And we we're puzzled and sickened how the censoring was carried out but your incessant, dooom and gloom moaning was allowed unfiltered.

In short, Christain Edstom is responsible for kickstarting this site.

Ford used a VDO 5 bar oil pressure sender on the works cars I have seen.
Sould be easy enough to find.

Awww... now there is no need to get all nasty. Time to wash your mouth out with soap.

You could use a mechanical fuel pressure gauge. After all, *you* trust all your fuel system plumbing without a bulkhead... Why not trust a mechanical gauge to not spray you with fuel too? While you're at it make sure you sharpen the firewall hole for the gauge line, and be sure not to use a grommet.

BTW: do you use $7.00 wrenches on your Aeroquip fittings too?

Enthusiasts? You're kidding, right? More like malcontents.

Might it be your personal attacks on people, or your filthy mouth, or your hostility? Nah... that couldn't be it.

Com'on John, I can't wait for you to whine about "censorship" meanwhile saying "STFU" to me in the same post.

Whatcha waiting for, big boy?

Idiot, Shut the Fuck up.
If there were censorship here, we could respond correctly to all your imbecilic and mind numbingly predictable posts with the appropriate reponse to your incessant flatuance which is SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING FUCK.

Close John, but no cigar. The rules of the competition were that you *whine* about censorship. Mentioning censorship without whining about it doesn't count.

Try again.

Jens you stupid cocksucker. If you think that's what this site is about then get the fuck out of here you spineless fag. I usually shut up when i don't have anything nice to say but apparently you open your fucking mouth whenever you are bored or don't have a cock to suck on.

I hope and pray you can get the balls to fucking come out of your shit hole and look me up at a rally.

If I would see you catch fire I wouldn't piss on you.

Now to answer your question Skye, I use a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail to keep an eye on the pressure during tuning, I observed fuel pressure fluctuation only once and it was due to a Bosch pump starting to get tired. I use a SARD FPR witha cheapo Autozone fuel pressure gauge.
